The effectiveness of a new range of insecticides on maize against Heliсoverpa armigera (Hb) Zinchenko Vladimir E., Grinko ArtemV., Polienko Elena A. Federal Rostov Agrarian Scientific Center, grinko82@mail.ru Abstract: The article presents the results of three-year research on the use of modern insecticides against the main pest of maize in the Rostov region - Heliсoverpa armigera Hb. Studies have been conducted to study the biological effectiveness of the following chemicals Karate Zeon, MCS, Koragen, SC and Ampligo, MCS. The biological efficacy of insecticides Koragen, SC and Ampligo, MCS on day 14 after application was 86,5 and 91,7 %, respectively. On the variant with the use of insecticide Karate Zeon, MCS, the death of the pest did not exceed 45,8 %. Calculation of economic efficiency revealed a significant advantage of the preparation Ampligo, MCS. The income from this variant of experience amounted to 4841 rubles / ha with a profitability of 178,9 %. On variants Koragen, SC and Karate Zeon, MCS, this indicator was 1743,1 and 1177,9 rubles / ha, respectively.

One of the most important ways to increase the yield of corn is to control weed vegetation using chemical protection preparations. It is necessary to assess the level of harmfulness and selection of herbicide. The preparation should correspond to the floral composition of the weeds. In the Rostov region in many cases, the use of herbicidal preparations in the form of tank mixtures is optimal, therefore 6 variants of herbicides from different chemical classes were chosen as the objects of the study. As a result of the research, it was found that the use of combined herbicidal preparations containing several active substances is most effective. This allows to significantly expand the range of action of herbicides and increase their efficiency and payback.  

Strategy and tactics for control of viral diseases of plants for example potatoes The article offers a conceptual approach to the problem of control of viral diseases of plants. It is a selection of key strategic measures, taking into account biology of the host plant and features of viral infection. These include preventive measures related to seed production in virus-free basis, breeding for virus resistance and biotechnological methods of health promotion and propagation of virus-free material. These areas are mainly associated tactics of its receipt.

Phytosanitary situation in a potato crop associated with the spread of viral diseases in the Astrakhan region The article describes the phytosanitary monitoring in a potato crop in the Astrakhan region. The materials obtained have shown that the strict implementation of previously recommended preventive measures to protect the normalized 2011 phytosanitary condition of potato fields with plantings associated with virus and phytoplasma infection in the Astrakhan region. However, in 2012—2014 years again, a difficult situation in terms epiphytotic viral infection.

Study of the stability of collection of potato varieties to virus diseases in the forest-steppe of Ukraine Studied 630 potato varieties for resistance to the major viral diseases in the forest-steppe of Ukraine. Established that the visual assessment of diseases complicated by nonspecific symptoms of some viral diseases. Using immunological and electron microscopic methods were identified pathogens of viral infections — Potato virus M and Potato virus Y. Highlighted accessions resistant to potato leaf roll, leafdrop streak and wrinkled mosaic.
